Ella - the autumn girl

For as long as Ella can remember, fall has been her favorite time of year. And it’s not surprising to me, since she was born this fall and has not yet seen anything else. Whether that’s the reason or not, the truth is that she cannot get enough of the season and everything seems so magical to her.

Ella loves long walks and the sound of leaves crinkling underneath her shoes. I don’t think she’s ever gotten tired of raking up the leaves into huge piles and jumping into them. Her squeals of excitement and laughter continue on and on…

When the clouds are hanging low, radiating a deep, dark gray, it makes her feel a bit lazy. These moments she prefers to spend in bed, reading fairy-tales with a cup of tea. But as soon as the sky explodes into the most beautiful shade of blue, she is outside again.

Ella is a little over 16” tall and is made with Swiss jersey and stuffed firmly with eco-wool. Her face is needle-sculpted, her face features - embroidered, and her hair - made with fine mohair weft, crocheted into the wig.

She will come wearing a beautiful silk blouse, a pair of lined Liberty pants, a sweater, hand-knitted with beautiful mohair/silk yarn, a pair of wool underpants (oh, so cozy for the cool weather), and shearling booties with leather ties.
