Hello!

I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!

News from my studio

Though quiet on my blog, my summer has been anything but static. On top of a very active family life, I traveled to Europe to participate in the Waldorf Doll Seminar in the Netherlands, as well as taught a multi-day doll-making workshop in a little picturesque town in Italy. These were wonderful experiences, full of conversations with fellow creative souls and the sharing of ideas, knowledge, and imaginative plans. Thanks to these workshops, I got a chance to finally meet in person so many lovely people with whom I had already developed a bond online!

Now that I’m back in my studio, I’m feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and ready to dive again into doll-making and stitching. To give you a taste of what I’ve been up to, here are a few exciting details.

First of all, I’m delighted to share with you my new sewing pattern for Doll Boots. You can find it in my Etsy shop along with many other patterns/tutorials.

As many of you know, I’m honored to be a part of Dollectable, an international collective of natural fiber artists. On the first day of every month we offer dolls and doll-related items for sale.

I am always looking for luxurious natural materials and fibers, and this time I experimented with linen, beautiful lustrous silk velvet, and trims. The outfit I’ll be presenting on September 1st consists of a casual plaid linen jacket, fully lined with Liberty of London cotton lawn, and a more evening-style jumpsuit, crafted with two different silk blends and trimmed with an exquisite Mokuba ribbon. I tried to find a balance in choosing fabrics and colors that would look both elegant and modern, and I’m convinced that it’s the little details that make the difference.

Finally, I’m preparing for my upcoming doll-making workshop on October 6th. I’ll be happy to share my passion with you! Most of my students have found the thrill of creating a little doll contagious, and I hope you will fall in love with this experience too!
If you’re interested, please contact me at petitgosset@gmail.com. There is limited space, as I like to keep my groups small.
Thank you so much for supporting my artistic endeavors!
