Hello!

I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!

Can you see the spark in her eyes that shimmers like tiny crystals? I’m sure you do :) But you haven’t heard her laugh yet. Every time I hear Dania’s laughter (which happens all the time around our house) I feel a tickle in my heart. It is such an innocent and mischievous laughter, full of inner freedom and carelessness. Constant running, laughter, games with my younger children - it seems as if the house is ringing or even dancing….

But if you meet her somewhere in the corridor, she becomes a true example of innocence and good behavior - having such a soft and gentle look. And you can't help but smile. You see how she can’t wait to run and play, as her feet are constantly moving and her clenched lips are ready to burst with laughter again. Oh, Dania, you’re so funny!

I don’t know exactly how she came to us. Dania says she was born in a little town in Scandinavia and still remembers its beautiful white snow-covered rugged mountains, fascinating lochs and deep blue sky. Perhaps, this explain her love of white and blue colors, as she requested a white linen dress and a blue sweater for herself.

Anyway, here she is, a mischievous and at the same time very gentle little girl, named Dania.
She is 16” tall and her beautiful red long hair is camel weft, prepared and crochet into a wig in my studio. Her scattered freckles were painted and face features embroidered with cotton floss. Her face was needle-felted and her body made with lovely Swiss cotton jersey and filled with sweet smelling eco wool (so no chemicals were used ever!).

She will come to you wearing a gorgeous white linen dress with a floral hand-embroidery on one side, organic cotton skirt with broderie anglaise (English embroidery), a pair of cashmere leggings, hand-knitted alpaca socks, leather shoes, and a stylish warm sweater, hand-knitted with mohair/silk hand-dyed yarn.

If you would like to bring Dania home, she will be up for adoption in my Indie cart store on Monday, April 9th at 7 pm EST.

Thanks for coming and see you soon!
