I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!
Welcome to the Dollmaking world!
This workshop is designed for beginners in doll-making.
You will create a 32 cm Waldorf-inspired doll and get the practical skills and tools needed to create more dolls with their own character and style. I will arrive with lots of pre-work done, so we will be able to make this warm and cute little child (without clothing) in one day.
In this class you will learn how to:
make a head, using rolling and basic needle-felting techniques,
embroider her eyes and a little mouth,
stuff beautiful limbs with warm wool,
add a bellybutton and a sweet doll bum
make hair, using special Mohair yarn, and so much more.
This class will be held in Zandpol, Holland on September 27th. It will run from
9.00 am to about 6 pm.
To be able to create a doll you will need a basic hand-sewing knowledge (threading a small needle, sewing running and ladder stitches).
The price is 350 euro-. It includes all the materials needed to create this doll (you will be able to choose skin and hair colors), the doll’s body pattern with a photo tutorial, clothing patterns (you will receive a PDF template for the pattern pieces about a month prior to the class, so you will be able to make some clothing for the child and bring it along with you to the class), and lunch.
There will be lovely outfits offered for sale as well.
The registration is open and you can book your spot HERE
There is a limited number of places available in this workshop as I want to be able to offer attention and support to each of the participants.
Any questions, please feel free to message me.
