I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!
Dresses are a staple for almost every doll wardrobe. But what do you do if you can’t find a pattern for the dress of your dreams? Or that perfect dress pattern is just not the perfect size for your doll?
I will teach the best ways to adjust a given pattern (a basic pattern will be emailed to you in advance) to make it fit any doll body 25-55 cm long. You will gain an understanding of dress construction and get step-by-step instructions on how to alter the elements of a pattern to make a dress you imagine.
To test out the fit and proportions at this experimental phase and to practice new techniques, we will use soft paper or muslin in class. By the end of the class you will have a finished dress pattern and will be able to create many dresses that fit perfectly and look beautiful on your dolls.
After this class, you’ll be able to look at any sewing pattern as just the starting point for your creative expression.

The workshop will be held LIVE via Zoom on April 6, 2024.
11.00 am - 3.00 pm
(covers class on April 6)
If you want more guidance in the actual sewing of your dress, I'm offering an additional option ‘B’. For a period of one whole month following your attendance of the April 6th class, I will provide one-on-one support in which you'll be able to email me any questions and send me progress photos for feedback. Sometime in May (exact date TBD), we will meet again on Zoom for a Graduation Party! You will be invited to share your creations, talk about inspirations and ideas for future projects, and ask any questions you may have about doll fashion/styles/sewing/alteration.
(Workshop on April 6 is included in this fee.)
