Hello!

I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!

Clara the acrobat

Clara the acrobat

Do you know anyone who grew up in a circus? Clara is just such a girl. She grew up backstage, poking her head from behind the arena curtain to watch her dad tame fierce lions and her mom–walk the tight rope.

She grew up a fearless little acrobat, ever-ready to jump up and do a full somersault in the air. Watch out, she’s coming!

Clara is 21” long and made with cotton swiss jersey and firmly stuffed with carded eco-wool. Her hair is very soft hand-spun wool yarn attached strand by strand to a cap sewn to her head. She is wearing a Liberty print blouse with puffed long sleeves and nickel-free snaps at the back, a rabbit fur vest, fully lined with the same Liberty print, corduroy pants with cuffs and elasticated waist for a better fit,  a pair of crochet shoes with leather ties, organic cotton underwear, and socks. Clara wears glasses, but she can see well even without them.

Clara is recommended for a child 6+. The price is $610 USD plus shipping charges to her new home. If you would like to share adventures with Clara and welcome her into your family, please fill the form below, and the lucky winner will be selected at random tomorrow, January 29 at 12 pm EST.
